Thirteen was a lucky number for J.R. and Karina, who endured months of rehearsals and 10 grueling weeks of competition to take home the famous Mirror Ball Trophy. The chemistry between J.R. and Karina was immediate and made them early crowd favorites. J.R.'s inspiration and Karina's determination proved to be a winning combination as they wowed audiences, judges and viewers each week.
Who will forget their Rumba in Week 3 that moved many to tears, or their perfectly-scored Waltz and Jive in Week 8? Their freestyle in Week 10 was one of the truly memorable performances of the entire season, producing marquee photos that people will be talking about for years. Karina, who has been competing on Dancing with the Stars for an incredible 10 seasons, was long overdue for recognition of her amazing talents.
So congratulations again to J.R. and Karina, Dancing with the Stars Champions!"
