Karina Filming New Ralph Macchio Movie
Posted on December 09, 2012 by AdminKarina is teaming up again with Ralph Macchio, her Season 12 partner, but this time it is off the dance floor.
Karina is currently filming a new movie written and directed by Ralph. The story is about a 10-year-old boy who becomes fascinated with a beautiful yet troubled woman he sees dancing in a nearby house. Karina plays the part of the woman.
"It is a dream come true to have this opportunity to work with Ralph again," Karina told a reporter in a recent interview. "He wrote such an inspiring script, and I'm grateful to be a part of it. The story is sweet but profound and my character is very compelling. I'm excited to show a different side of myself to the public," she said.
While this is Karina’s first major-character movie role, it is not her first appearance in a feature film. She acted and danced in Shall We Dance starring Richard Gere and Jennifer Lopez. "I feel like I've always acted within a dance," Karina says. "Now I get to just act, and I'm extremely excited for the opportunity."
